late entry today cause of ack work.
mmmh, just had lunch... zucchetti with a bit of ham-like meat, baked in a creamy sauce with a bit of soy sauce within. yumyum! :9
but on the brighter side - we're back at +1°C today which feels almost like warm spring compared to the past few days! heaven!!! and we have a bit of snow again. :)
irish dance yesterday was... em, it was good, but we were very few there.
one of 2 who have biggest problems to learn and catch up didn't come and obviously won't come next time, either. *no comment*
one is very ill - having caught scarlet fever (duh!).
one had announced she wouldn't come but she's ok with the steps.
so...
made us being 4 while mum had to take breaks from time to time...
so we trained single steps of the choreographies and made them into perfection (or so ;))).
after training shopped some food and then went home all exhausted and just read a bit and went to sleep.
the goodie thing was when i got home and found i'd received 2 packages from friends - one's from Catriona - a very belated birthday pressie (oooooooh! absolutely unexpected! aw!) - book *The Moonstone* by Wilkie Collins...
the other one's from Holly - a small fairy-themed package. aw. feeling so spoilt. i got a little fairy booklet, a small book, glitter glue, a special crystal stone and a bookmark with a wolf. *beams*
i've just now emailed both hugest thank yous. i know Holly's not doing well these days. her grandfather died. :(((
as for today...
work, work, work...
some ack meeting soon. gah! the guy who's organizing it sounded oh-so-hyper about that *fab meeting* we'll all have. makes you want to kick him. it's supposed to be about some new scanning system that shouldn't even be done by our teams. DUH???
Daniela emailed me yesterday a huge report about her time in Paris and the two Mylène Farmer concerts!!! it sounds SO amazing! her concerts are always very unusual and quite a show and you basically never know what to expect. plus she usually adds some pretty *deep* stuff, too, like this time there was some 20 minutes film at the beginning which was very symbolically made , etc. those who know her lyrics might know what i mean. my French isn't exactly good, but i can somewhat translate... but... uh... i usually fail at her lyrics. a French epal once told me even she mostly doesn't understand them all. ;)
if Mylène will be touring again some time (it might take years, she usually takes quite some breaks) i definitely want to go, too. her works have always impressed me very much, ever since the 80s when i saw those endless videoclips of hers on MTV...
ok, i'm officially going to strangle pouty. she's in her singing-bits-of-songs again. gosh, sing the whole song or at least whole parts of it but not single words here and then wailing them out! has anyone got an old smelly sock i could stuff into her mouth???
