ABBA rulez
Jan. 23rd, 2006 09:31 amBjörn Again concert on Friday night:
we were lucky to get really good seats close to the stage on the balcony - yay. we absolutely needed to sit as mum was still feeling sick and could never have stayed there standing. :( so this was great and quite a relief! :)
the only annoying thing about the whole organization was that they were already playing music before the concert started - awful music and awfully loud. i mean *really* loud, so loud it almost hurts. mad? excuse me, i don't want to be deaf before the concert?
the stage looked funny with a huge blown up snow man on it. *lol* don't ask me why this one was there. :)
the concert was really really great, very good band, very well done, very ABBA-like yet unique and they played almost all of the greatest hits. it was all very dancy and fun. they also had some good humour in it - they all had the *names* put onto their costumes (on the back), so you knew who's supposed to be Agnetha, Frida, etc. *lol*
and when they sang *Gimme, Gimme, Gimme* they cut in a small part of Madonna's *Hung Up* - just making a bit of fun of her copying them. ;) that was really good. heeheeh.
by the time they played *Dancing Queen* we were dancing around, too. :D even mum! ha!
and it seems as if many gays are quite the ABBA fans - there were quite some obvious ones in the crowd singing and dancing and going all hyper. great fun.
i'm so glad i got those free tickets!
you know... mum had always loved ABBA's music and so i grew up knowing and liking it a lot, too. after all my first *i'm such a fan of*-band was swedish, too - Roxette. ha! talking about good taste! :)
she loved their music although it was sort of forbidden in the Czech Rep. back then - being *west* music... so... all she had was some LP and some taped music from the radio and never a hope to go to a concert. so this was really a dream come true to her. aw!!! :D
i'll definitely want to go to their concert again! :)
Saturday... and Sunday...
i was more or less just at home. only some quick food shopping done on Sat.
did lots of training - first time ever i did about 43 minutes on the stepper! yay! i do 30 min regularly, so doing more is only if i feel like it. :)
yay @ me.
else... watched some tv and did this and that.
on Sunday i worked on a wreath - decorating it in green-ish colours, tiny ivy (not real) leaves and bigger glittery leaves and glass flowers...
a fairy doll will sit in that wreath as soon as i'll have her clothes done, too. :)
i bought that one, toy doll, but quite nice and cute and it was 1/2 prize so i thought i'd buy it, change it completely and then put it into a wreath. and... err... since it's so cheap, i might buy another one today. :))) she's a fairy - doll, from some dolls series. don't know those really... but she has lovely long red hair and wings. :) you might get a photo of the whole thing in your email at some point. need to dress her first though. *lol*
i loved decorating the wreath!!!
hmh... right now i'm struggling a bit... with my artwork actually. i've some people asking me to make this and that for them (i absolutely DON'T mean you, Amanda!!! i mean others, and not close friends anyway!) expecting me to work at lightning speed and... errr... financing it all myself. i wonder where that one comes from? the cheek of it!
i've never done this anyway, the only thing i might have made for free were things i made for friends' birthdays and similar. i know i'm not the best artist in the world and i know i'm not famous or anything, but what about at least paying the material? it's not like i'm endlessly rich and like i've an endless amount of time... :(
so right now i'm turning down basically every order i get cause of this. duh.
and it's not like those would be people who'd ever even think of doing something for me.
sigh.
i find this rather confusing and upsetting...
