We're Survivors! :)
Jan. 16th, 2006 11:18 amfor everyone who might want to know:
we all survived the endless meeting of friday.
it was awful though. the first part until lunch break at least had some information for our team, but the longer part - afternoon, none at all. actually one other team was allowed to leave there, officially, but we weren't. we're never allowed to do that. don't ask me why. it's just a real torture to hang around there.
by the time it was 3pm my colleague was starting to find the chair in front of her (it was empty) awfully attractive so we had a lot to do to keep ourselves from laughing while we were going on about its amazing forms and how incredibly hard its... legs were... AHEM!
now you know how desparate we were!
saturday...
went to a second hand shop and found 2 books for myself and 2 for Michaela - will be sending those to her by the end of the month i think.
and a book for mum... and some cards and paper stuff that i used for making cards and decorating them later in the day.
else just did some unspectacular stuff like food shopping and explored H&M a bit. i hate them not having a jewellery and accessoires section anymore. they've their stuff dropped here and there where they think it *fits* the outfits - means you can't find a thing though. argh!
watched *Superstar* (German) in the evening - it was good, some of them are truly amazing! and my favourite's done really well, too. yay. :) on the other hand one of the girls got kicked out who's actually quite good and 2 of the guys who really aren't much good stayed. one of them's an absolutely disaster (sorry, but NO note sung right there!) and the other one... how shall i explain... he can sing, but only in a very *usual* way. like... he does hit the notes mostly right, but that's about it. there's no feeling in his singing or anything. maybe with some good training he'd get more out of his voice, but as he's right now - nope. i feel sorry for the girl as it wasn't much of a choice of who's better really.
sunday...
got some good sleep which was badly needed and then spent the day cooking, training, drawing, reading, ... all the fun stuff. :)
i tried some yummy recipe. here goes:
minced meat (preferably mixed)
--> add salt and spices as you like
feta cheese
--> squash and squeeze until it's soft, add spices and a bit of cream
--> make little balls out of the mix
now make meat balls filled with the feta mix and then fry them in a pan.
really yummy!!! :) of course you could think of other fillings, too... and you could add for example garlic... or onion, etc.
i finished one of the drawings and started another one... the finished one i can send around thanks to Amanda --> if you'd like to see it, just tell me and i can email it to you. unfortunately i can't put it up here really. can't do much from computer at work beside sending emails and posting here. :(
watched a documentary of *Terra X* on sunday, too, which was slightly connected to Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. slightly only, theme-wise. it was about a place in France where some *mysterious* script had been found and so on... and ages later they found out it wasn't old really but dated from mid-1900. so question then was if it was a copy of something real or not. the text had a hidden text within mentioning Dagobert, the Prioré de Sion, etc. conclusion was *nothing of it is real and we don't really know what to make out of it and it's probably nonsense*... so yeah. but it was interesting anyway. :) bugger i can't remember the place's name really...
music-wise i'm in Roxette-mood. dunno where that came from. ah, not right! i know! heard some song in a shop on saturday that sounded very much like Roxette but don't know that one so am not sure... dug out their CDs and singles i've had for ages and listened. aw! the memories!
